General Sales Manager at a car dealership. Around $100k
What attracted you to Symmetry Financial Group?
The idea of a work/life balance appealed to me. I had the income but was missing family time. I felt like I had missed most of the childhood of my two daughters. Our one and only son was born in 2019 and all of the things that I wanted to be able to do as a father to a little boy started running through my head. I knew if I stayed in the car business that it would never be able to happen. I saw the opportunity to put my head down and work hard so that I could begin to earn my time back.
How has your life changed since joining Symmetry?
I have grown as a person. I am a better father, husband, and leader than I have ever been. In all of my professional life, I had never placed an emphasis on personal growth until I came here. The culture here is incredible and I love the fact that our founders understand that the growth of the company is dependent on the people within it. I am healthier. I have lost a substantial amount of weight as I can now schedule time to care for myself.
What opportunities have you been able to do or provide because you started working with Symmetry Financial Group, that you likely would not have done or unable to in another career?
I have never had the flexibility to work from literally anywhere. I can be a part of all the things my kids are involved in now. Most importantly, I get to do life and this business with my wife, Terra, which would have never been possible with either of our previous career paths.
What advice do you have for a new agent?
Listen to your mentor and don't give up. Remember why you started and do the uncomfortable work. It won't always be easy but it will definitely be worth it.
