JIMMY SPIELDENNER

What were you doing before Symmetry and what was your approximate income?
The hospitality industry for all my working life. I was giving up everything for my career. I was 34, single with no children, underappreciated, and overworked. I was the General Manager of a pretty busy corporate restaurant and I did well financially with my last year topping out at 129k.  I believe that’s the top 10%-15% in the nation as far as income earned. But I knew very little then, compared to what I know now. It did not matter how much I was making after two decades of being run into the ground. I was beginning to have health problems at only 34 and saw where that future was heading, so I dared to make a change.

What attracted you to Symmetry Financial Group?
It was definitely the people.  I never imagined I’d go into sales in my life and accept commission only!  And definitely not insurance sales.  But that is not what Symmetry is. Insurance sales is how we pay our bills, our culture is about changing people for the better. I'm so glad I was able to appreciate the people and culture enough that I could get out of my own way. Good is too often the enemy of great! I had a good life, and I'm so relieved I didn't accept that in place of the great life I was searching for!

How has your life changed since joining Symmetry?
It is hard to explain how my life isn't different since coming on board with Symmetry.  It’s astronomically better in every single way. I’m a better friend, family member, father and husband.  I had a pretty fruitful life before SFG, or so I thought, but I didn't understand how good it could be. When money no longer has any bearing on your decisions, life gets really fun. You’re able to contribute to others lives and be an impacting factor.  Symmetry is system driven income.  I followed their teachings and have achieved everything they said I would and more.  I was given a terminal illness diagnosis and I have time to tend to myself and my family’s needs.  I cannot explain how having my owner’s contract has made this whole ordeal so much easier.

What opportunities have you been able to do or provide because you started working with Symmetry Financial Group, that you likely would not have done or unable to in another career?
I’ve made significant donations to the charities I believe in. Once you make your money right, it allows you to make an impact in giving.

I’ve also been able to take a step back from my business to handle my health issues.  Imagine being told you are going to die and you’re in a position that if you stop working, you stop making money. I did have to stop working at times, and my money did not stop coming in.  And because I have an amazing team, with incredible people and leaders, my income actually increased!  At a time when I’ve needed to care for myself and have been the least involved, my team has nearly doubled in size.

The treatment I’ve needed has cost me quite a bit of money and SFG has given me so many options.  If I had remained in the restaurant business, I would likely not have had many treatment options.  I'm very fortunate I found Symmetry.

What advice do you have for a new agent?
This is probably the most common answer in this section, but the truth is...just don’t quit! You will learn how to do this well enough if you just don't quit. Knowing what I know now, I would go through 10 times the struggle I went through to have the life I have now.  With some hard work and dedication to the system, it is simply amazing what you can achieve here.  Money is not everything, but it sure does give you so many more options. They say you get one or two real opportunities in life that if you don't take advantage of them, you’re destined to live a life of mediocrity.  Don't do that. Take this opportunity and be great.  Symmetry allowed me to dream again, dreams that had long ago faded in my life. Take this chance and change who you are.  Become the person you’ve always wanted to be and start dreaming again.

That’s our story.
Now it’s time to start writing your own.
